Since I first discovered foundation, the only one I've actually enjoyed wearing... to the point where I've worn it every day for 4 years, is L'Oreal True Match Foundation in W3. Lauren Curtis, my all time favourite YouTuber used this in every single video for years, but she couldn't find anything that compared.

L'Oreal is just like silk, it looks absolutely flawless which is why I've stuck with it for so long. Yes, I have tried other foundations, a lot actually, but not one came close to True Match. But then I discovered Too Faced, and realised the new beauty sensation is actually the Born This Way Foundation. Being my first high end foundation, apart from MAC's, that I've splurged on I was so nervous to hand over the money when I'd been matched at Debenhams Liverpool One but I did it.

I prayed and prayed that it'd be worth the money, and I have to say... It is the best £30 I've departed with in a long time. I apply Born This Way over my MAC Strobe Cream, and blend it out with the Zoeva 104 brush. It has almost the same thick formula as MAC Studio Fix, but when dotting it around the face it somehow melts, so when buffing in it just applies perfectly. The coverage of this foundation is ridiculous. I have lots of freckles and some pigmentation, but you'd think I had completely clear skin when I wear this.

One problem I could never avoid with any foundation before Born This Way, was the makeup on the bottom of my face (e.g. jaw bone and underneath the cheek) wearing off way before the rest of my makeup. I'd powder it every time, I'd add more makeup down there too but nothing ever worked. With Born This Way I don't get this problem, it literally sticks like glue on the face. I have worn it and been out for over 13 hours and there's been hardly any worn off and my face still looks flawless when I'm home. Another problem I used to get, was the cakey look. With my recurring dry skin patches, and hormonal spots I found it hard getting the 'smooth skin' look with other foundations, it'd look thick, spots would show up, dry skin would flake off... but Born This Way seems to soak into the skin and transform it into beautiful, lightweight skin. I always set with Laura Mercier's Loose Powder on application and then I don't have to powder all day, it keeps my oily t-zone completely oil free all day, but still lets through a healthy glow, which is amazing for those who suffer with oily skin.

I am honestly so glad I got this foundation, the hype was actually worth it, which isn't always the case. I don't think I have a bad word to say about Born This Way, I just don't want it to run out because it's literally treasure in a bottle. On the subject of bottles, the bottle/packaging is gorgeous! The blurred glass, and gold details and text contrast well with each other making the packaging look so expensive. It really is worth the money, and I want to say that I'm slowly but surely falling in love with Too Faced products... they never fail to impress me!

Has anybody used this foundation yet, what do you guys think?! Is there any other foundations you can recommend for me? I'd love to hear from you all!

Lots of love, Megan xo
