The Champagne Glow Collection!

The Champagne Glow Collection!

#beccaxjaclynhill

Here it is... the absolutely beautiful Champagne Collection!

So if you didn't hear, the Queen herself, Mrs Jaclyn Hill, released a full range of products with Becca Cosmetics following the success of the original Champagne Pop.

Champagne Pop literally changed my life. I have used many highlighters over the years, and always ran back to Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm, but when CP hit the stores it blew everything else out of the park. I honestly have never used anything so pigmented in my life!

When I saw the release date of the Champagne Collection, June 16th, I cleared my schedule and waited for 5pm to strike. I knew I had to get my hands on the face palette and anything else was a bonus. 5pm was there, and Sephora's website went mental! As I refreshed the pages and spotted 'Add to Basket' I nearly cried. I managed to add the face and eye shadow palette before the range was completely SOLD OUT (I also added Laura Mercier's Loose Setting Powder to my order, because why not?).

Firstly, I'd like to point out the packaging. Like OMG, how amazing?! The shining white of the face palette gives such a clean, sophisticated look that complements the gold confetti speckles perfectly. The gold covering the eye shadow palette looks so luxurious, tying in with the champagne and glowing themes. Using the Jaclyn stamp to finish off, the both products are utterly fabulous. Oh and the mirrors inside are to DIE for!

1. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

Retailing at $52 (£34 with the exchange rates at the time), it was not over priced at all. Considering that you are getting 2 full size highlighters and 3 good sized blusher pans, it's ridiculously good value for money!

Blushers
Left to right: Rose Spritz, Amaretto and Pamplemousse

Rose Spritz, the only luminous blush in the palette, is the go-to shade for Summer. It is the perfect bright and fun shade of pink, with just the right amount of shimmer to make your face glow and your cheeks pop!

Amaretto, one of the two mineral blushes in the palette, is my personal favourite. It is the ideal brown-y rose shade that bronzes up any look, leaving a sun kissed finish. For a subtle but beautiful wash of colour, this is the one for everyone. It's such a universal colour!

Pamplemousse, the second mineral blush in the palette, is a bright matte pink. For an intense pop of colour or a blended out natural flush, this shade is so versatile and caters for many looks!

Highlighters
Left to right: Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop

Champagne Pop, a fresh pan of the original beauty in all its glory!!!

Prosecco Pop, as Jaclyn says, is Champagne Pop's little sister! With just as much pigment and glow as CP, Prosecco Pop has a much more golden undertone and finish making it perfect for that Goddess glow!

The face palette is definitely worth the hype (and the money)!

2. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eye Palette

Left to right: Chardonnay, Champagne Toast, Cordial, Cognac and Bordeaux

For just $40 (£25), you can see from the swatches above just HOW pigmented all of these shades are. With only 5 colours, this palette is THE must-have palette. Every colour is so flexible and can be paired with many different colours to create any look.

Chardonnay, is your typical white, crisp, champagne shimmer that can make any inner corner pop!

Champagne Toast, is Jaclyn's custom shade of the palette! This shade is the ideal mix of copper and rose gold, creating a flawless shimmery lid. You can never go wrong with such a glamorous shade!

Cordial, is the matte transition shade that everyone needs. With hints of mauve, dusty pink and pale browns, it can enhance any crease and can be used alone or with other shades to deepen the crease even more.

Cognac, is a chocolatey matte brown that pairs with any shade and looks beautiful over the lid as well as just in the crease.

Bordeaux, is the darkest shade in the palette making it the perfect shade to take any look from day time to night time. With plum undertones, it can be used in the outer corner of the eye to darken an eye look. It is pigmented and blends into perfection, as do all the shades in this palette.

To sum up, you NEED these two palettes. Any look you want, you can achieve with the two. From natural and made up, to dramatic and glamorous, you have it all in one (well, two!)

Head to Sephora if you haven't already to check out this amazing collection, or if you already have, then I'd love to hear what you think!

Lots of love, Megan xo
