Stila One Step Correct
"Swirl your way to perfect skin in one step!"
Until recently, I was never really a 'primer girl', I felt like the majority never enhanced my make-up (not even an inch) and having combination skin, I've always struggled to find a primer that targets all of my problems... Until now!
Besides Stila's In The Light palette, I noticed that One Step Correct was really the only other Stila product being raved about in the world of Beauty, so I decided to take the plunge and see if the hype was in fact worth it.
The packaging is beautiful. The lightweight 30 ml plastic bottle is perfect for travelling or in your make-up bag, as it's so compact. The triple swirl helix design looks stunning, and unique, making this product stand out from the rest (I am a visual person too so I love the look of it). Thankfully, it also has a pump, saving the drama of losing so much more product than necessary!
The formula itself is a serum, silicone free, aided by its youth revival bio-available mineral complex. The 3 colours in the helix have separate properties:
- Green- reduces redness and conceals blemishes
- Lavender- counteracts sallow/dull undertones
- Peach- brightens and illuminates
Claiming to do so much, I was a little bit sceptical... and then I tried it.
I am OBSESSED with this primer, and I am now a total primer convert! Having slight hyper pigmentation around my chin, and red patches due to my psoriasis, the primer reduced the redness tremendously, minimising the look of my pores and fine lines and giving me a nice glow. A pea-sized amount is plenty to cover the face, and it rapidly absorbs into the skin- which I prefer to a greasy, wet primer- leaving the softest and smoothest finish. My foundation glides over my skin following this primer, and my oily t-zone is balanced well throughout the day keeping my make-up perfectly in place.
I can't praise this product enough, and for £24, it is worth every penny in my opinion. I will buy this again and again!
